Discovery Parks - Dubbo

Nice place to stay. Central to most places. Really close to the Zoo. If booking a caravan site, definitely book an ensuite site. The amenities block needs more regular cleaning during peak times. Toilet paper constantly ran out and over powering smells and water on the floors. The sites are dirt floor so definitely need your own matting as it's also quiet rocky and hard on the feet. Pool is great for the kids and splash zone. There's a huge jumping pillow, great in the afternoons as there's no shade and very hot on little feet. Space for riding and scooters, cars do tend to go quick around the park which did make is hard for kids to ride at times.

We recently had a 1 night stay on a powered site and were so happy with the park. They were extremely accommodating due to the fact it was a last minute check in by us. The kitchen area is welcoming and very clean and the bathrooms were also clean. The area has great presentation, the gardens were tidy and was just generally a great vibe Would highly recommend!

Looks great…. from the outside, pool dirty with visible algae and smells like a frog pond. Camp kitchen roof is like a waterfall when it rains and lights don’t come on until way past dusk. Kids room is just sad, positives are good location to zoo, showers are hot. A let down to the discovery name having stayed in 4 in the past 8 weeks.

I stayed here with my 6 year old grandson and had the best time. He loved the water park and I loved the pool, it was well designed. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin, very comfortable and very clean. The park itself was well maintained and quiet. I found we were close to everything we wanted to do, zoo, gaol, shops ect. Thank you and yes I will recommend and I will be back.

Park is in a great position. There is road noise from the trucks at night but that is to be expected due to it's location, but did not interrupt trying to sleep. We styed in a cabin. Overall the cabin (31) inside was spacious enough for the six of us. Cleaning was fine inside although the toilets could have had a good scrub or some bleach put down them. One of the blinds in the bedrooms did not pull up. We notified the Office. The lock on the front door of the cabin did not lock properly so we had to lock the screen door each time we left and at night. The balcony could have had a good clean off. Lots of spider webs and dirt and leaves which was disappointing as it was a good spot to sit. The kids loved the pool and jumping pillow! Even though the park was busy it wasn't noisy and plenty of room for people to swim or lay by the pools. The few negatives wouldn't stop us from staying again.

We had a long road trip before in a motorhome and we decided to book our last destination in a deluxe 3bedroom Cabin at Dubbo, Now excited as we were as soon as we opened our cabin door we were disappointed the floor had two holes in the Lino, a very dated cabin and all the walls were filthy! I had to wash all the plates before use as they all had dirt and food scraps on them, the fridge hadn’t been wiped out. It was all just a horrible experience which led to us leaving a day early. Through out our travels we had stayed in a lot of Big 4’s and Discovery parks and this by far was our most expensive and worst experience. Unfortunately we won’t be back nor would we recommend.
